Guide to the Area
Congrats on making the move to the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. You are going to love it here! The Dallas-Ft. Worth area, the largest metropolitan area in Texas, is also the fourth largest metropolitan area in the United States, and, according to the Dallas Chamber of Commerce, over 500 people move to the Dallas area per day! So whether your reason for moving here is for a new job, starting school, moving for family, getting married, or just want to be closer to "America's Team" we've got you covered! Between the burbs, country living, uptown, downtown, lake living, we simply have it all!
It's a common misnomer that all of us in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area live on ranches and ride horses to work. Now albeit there are those that do that in the ranching and farming communities, it's more of a rarity than the norm. Actually, Dallas and its suburbs have one of the highest corporate headquarters in the United States. It is also the home to the largest information technology industry base in the state. Several major defense manufacturers, including Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopter, and Raytheon, maintain significant operations in the Metroplex. And both American and Southwest Airlines are based in Dallas. Colleges are in abundance too, from UNT, UTD, UTA, SMU, TCU, Baylor to name a few. You also have lots of entertainment to choose from to - fine dining, the symphony, plays, the DMA, oh and sports... lots and lots of sports.
We hope you love it here as much as we do. Let us be the first to say welcome home y'all!
